Crusaders Church Evangelism Department

Obeying the Apostolic Mandate: Taking the Gospel to the World

The Evangelism Department meetings begin with one hour of prayer and worship.  Prayer and worship is vital to the fruitfulness of evangelistic ministry and for the life of the believer.

Special prayer gatherings will be scheduled at various times to provide a more extended time of prayer.  These special dates will be announced.

1Thessalonians 5:17-18  "Pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

The Apostle Paul exhorted the Thessalonians to maintain a faithful prayer life.  As we go out to fulfill the mandate to preach the gospel, we must be persistent and consistent in our personal prayer life.  We believe that as we go out into the streets, mission fields, prisons or wherever we are sent, God will show up on our behalf to change lives, communities, cities, and the nations.

Please join us each month as we pray the will of the Father as the Spirit leads.

Excerpt From Lesson "Evangelism and Strategic Prayer"

There are several elements or keys to effective evangelistic ministry, and one of the most important keys is prayer.  The fruitfulness of evangelistic efforts is impacted by the level of effectual, fervent prayers of God’s people.  Although God is sovereign, he has chosen to work in and through His people.  He looks for those that will intercede, that will stand in the gap and pray the will of God in the earth (Ezekiel 22:30).  God reveals his plans, provides strategies, and has called the church to be his delegated authority in the earth (Gen. 1:28).  Amos 3:7 says “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”  God makes his will known to the church, and the church prays according to his will.  As prayers go forth, the church witnesses the hand of God as he moves in response to our prayers.

Prayer is fundamental to Kingdom living for the Christian.  Through prayer we communicate with the Father, through prayer we come to know the voice of God and intimate fellowship him, through prayer we come to know the will of God, through prayer demonic forces are subdued, and through prayer we intercede, or stand in the gap for people, cities, and nations.
